How do I get Anime Network with Cox Communications? I understand that I have to get on demand, but is on demand free or...? I just want that one channel. Nothing else. I understand the channel itself is $6.95 a month, but will I have to pay anything extra for it? Please answer my questions. ;) Thanks.
Can you recommend a book for my Networks and Communication Module? Hi everyone! I am currently in my second year of a Computer Science degree taking a module in Networks and Communication. I have no provious knowledge of this area so would like a book that explains everything easily with examples. I was recommended Computer Networks by Andrew S. Tanenbaum but have heard mixed reviews and many students have found it hard to understand. Learning outcomes of the module To introduce the concepts, data types, hardware, software, technologies and issues involved with networks and data communications. The student should develop: good knowledge of the use of data communication networks for e-mail; file transfer and hypertext transfer; understanding of ISO OSI 7-layer model for data communications and how this relates to TCP/IP suite of communication protocols; appreciation of data formats used in data communucations; understanding of modus operandi of clients & servers connected to internet and of the types of communication software they use. Also the course contents are: E-mail; the client/server concept; coding schemes for data; Hamming code; Huffman code; encryption, local area networks; Ethernet; TCP/IP. The ISO OSI 7-layer model - the physical layer, the data link layer, the medium access layer, the network layer, the transport, the session layer, the presentation layer, the application layer; protocols using Java.net. My lecturer recommended the book I mentioned above but talking to previous students of this module they wouldnt recommend it.
ACN or American Communications Network? I'm curious for anyone's opinion on ACN. I am thinking of getting involved with them. I have been told its a pyramid scheme but I think I know enough people to be at the top of the pyramid. anyways if any ones done anything with ACN or even works for them I want to hear your opinion.
In Communication Network Architectures frequent reference is made to the? In Communication Network Architectures frequent reference is made to the interconnecting links needed to create communication networks. There are several different types of medium used for this purpose and many different variants of each type. One important type that we generally refer to as ‘cabling’ includes optical fibre, co-axial cable and twisted pair. Describe the main design features of these three media and how they perform in respect of signal attenuation and interference from noise sources.

Why do they block all voice communications? They only allow the communications networks they own. My dad works over there and has only limited funds. They have cut off Ichat through Macintosh, Bonjour, AIM, Skype, and Yahoo voice. They have also cut off a good deal of internet sites that they feel are inappropriate. How about letting people police their own behavior. How far behind the times are they going to get before they realize all the modern progress they are making is being undone by their Big Brother behavior. Please send replies to southernsoulcat@hotmail.com I could understand perhaps the TV but what about the telephone. The expats who are foreigners should have the right to speak with their families without spending all their money there. If there is an emergency I can't wait for my father to return to his email. He might be all day before he comes back. I could maybe bend to the websites but the telephones are my major bending points. I have emailed the tourism, governments, etisalat websites and because I am a woman almost none of them want to reply to me other than we will get back to me. Oh I forgot they are the government censors.
What is a good starting salary for a 2 year degree in Computer Networking? I'm currently an Intern in St. Louis for a big communications company for local City and State Courts and Police. As far as I've been told they hire almost every intern and I've worked here for 6 Months and it is paid internship. I've been told that you start out at $34,500 and after 6 months probationary term you go to $36,000. I'll only have a 2 year technical degree. But, I go to a very well known technical college that has a great reputation for its graduates. I was just curious to what a good starting salary was. I plan on being a Network Administrator or WAN. I'm also majoring in CCNA. I will have my CCNA certification at the end of this year. I'm already A+ certified and Intro CCNA Certified. Plan to take Microsoft Server certification too.
